Kai Hecker

Kai Hecker is a Texas attorney with over twenty years of experience counseling and defending clients in professional liability and business litigation matters. Mr. Hecker represents a range of individuals and companies including lawyers, healthcare providers, accountants, architects, engineers, information technology, oil & gas landsmen, real estate agents, and insurance agents. He advises professionals with the goal of avoiding future disputes or litigation.  This advice includes complying with ethical & professional responsibilities, meeting information and cyber security obligations, establishing internal best practices, and evaluating business transactions and contracts.  He has spoken on these topics nation-wide. Mr. Hecker defends professionals with the goal of obtaining a successful early resolution so they can get back to helping their clients.  He has resolved matters involving professional liability, malpractice, ethics violations, licensing grievances, and traditional business disputes pre-suit, at arbitration, at mediation, and through litigation in Texas state and federal courts.

 

Additionally, Mr. Hecker has served in leadership positions for several 503(c) entities including as vice president for the Dallas chapter of the Claims & Litigation Management (CLM) professional organization, secretary of the Dallas chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), and as a Dallas Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for minors in family law matters. Finally, Mr. Hecker was a coach and adjunct professor for Southern Methodist University’s undergraduate Mock Trial program.
